Project and Talent Management

At IQ managing learning teams is our forte.

Our project management division support organisations in managing their YES and related programmes. We assist in:

  • learner recruitment

  • Learner placement

  • Learner induction

  • Reporting progress

  • Project closure

Whilst the intent of the YES programme is to provide the workplace exposure. Implicit in this is the hope that employers take an interest in the young intern that could end in permanent employment. The YES statistics have been encouraging however it doesn’t  necessarily translate to employment. There is a missing element!

The world of work demands a specific skill set. It is imperative that young interns internalise and master these skills sets to ensure a successful exposure that leads to employment.

Most importantly, workplaces are embracing the impact of technology and artificial intelligence. If the young interns go into the workplace prepared with these skills sets, their integration will be smooth, and their skills will be necessary.

Considerable research has been done in this area and the competencies clearly identified. IQ has integrated this into our work readiness programme.

These competencies include:

  • Understanding technology, artificial intelligence
  • Critical thinking
  • Creative Thinking
  • Collaboration and Communication

Other more generic work readiness skills include:

  • Self-Awareness relating to interview skills
  • Design of a professional curriculum vitae
  • Report writing
  • Effective speaking
  • Emotional Intelligence (at beginners’ level)

We understand this is an onerous task. We have the people and tools to manage this effectively.
